Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions will apply to any purchase, otherwise referred to as a contract, entered into between, you, the customer and us, Aquatics World. By accessing and purchasing through our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as they contain important information. If you cannot accept these Terms, we advise you not to proceed with your order from this website. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any point.

About Our Service

We aim to deliver the best possible customer experience and we therefore adhere to all current and proposed legislation in addition to trade body guidelines. The conditions detailed below do not affect your statutory rights. These include all of the current guidelines relating to the information that we hold about you and, in order to clarify this, we have a published privacy statement.

Products

All items are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Products and packaging are subject to change or substitution without prior notice. Every effort will be made to dispatch the items specified.

If an item is out of stock, we will email you with the option either to cancel your order or, where possible to wait for delivery.

Product and Delivery Terms and Charges

We will contact you with an estimated delivery date shortly after purchase. Occasionally our delivery to you may be affected by an Event outside Our Control.

An Event Outside Our Control are defined as any act or event beyond Our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks.

The prices of the Products will be as quoted on our site at the time you submit your Order. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the prices of Products are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Prices for our Products may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order you have already placed.

The price of a Product includes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the UK for the time being. However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of delivery, we will adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid for the Products in full before the change in VAT takes effect.

Methods of Payment

We can only accept payment in pounds Sterling. We accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

Cancelling your Order

We operate a policy for cancellation to allow you a cooling off period after placing your order. In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive (2000) you may cancel your order at any time without reason within 7 working days of delivery. You may cancel your order for any reason provided:

  • You or the recipient notifies us of your cancellation in writing/ email to the address on our “contact us” page within seven working days of delivery.
  • The goods remain unused and component parts are unopened.
  • You or the recipient retain and take reasonable care of the goods until returned.
  • You return packaged item(s) to Aquatics World.
  • Please be aware that you will be responsible for any postage/carrier costs incurred in sending goods back to Aquatics World. We recommend that items being returned be sent via insured, trackable delivery for your protection. A refund can only be provided for items received back by us.

On receipt and inspection of the goods, Aquatics World will give you a full refund of the amount paid (less the delivery charge) or an exchange/credit as required. Refunds can only be credited back to the original card that the goods were bought with. Please note that refunds for items bought as gifts can only be given to the original payer, and that if you decide to swap an item we can’t stop the payer knowing. On return of goods on which you have received a discount/offer, that discount/offer will no longer apply if you fall below the discount /offer threshold.

You will receive an email to confirm that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice.

This term is included in the event of any errors made in the pricing of goods, or in case we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. If a price has changed we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Refunds and Exchanges

Should you find that you require a refund or exchange for the goods you’ve purchased from us, you are required to return the goods purchased for a prompt refund or exchange if they are received back at the address below within 21 days, in new condition, with the original packaging, labelling and Aquatics World receipt. The 21 days start from the day of dispatch, but as a minimum includes a period of 7 working days from the day after delivery to you as the permitted cancellation period. We will provide a refund or exchange within 30 days of receiving the returned goods. We recommend that items being returned be sent via insured, trackable delivery for your protection. All return postage charges must be met by the customer, unless he or she is returning the goods due to a fault. In the case of warranty returns, goods must be clean and free from dirt to comply with the current Health and Safety Regulations. All of the above does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
